Legislative 101: From Bill to Action - 1/29/2027

Virtual — Zoom Friday, January 29, 2027 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Eastern Standard Time

Ever wondered how a bill becomes a law, or how you can influence that process? This hands-on session will demystify the legislative process and introduce practical skills camp directors can use in their own states. We’ll learn how to find and understand legislation, identify the policymakers who matter, contact a legislator’s office, prepare for a meeting, testify or speak at a hearing, and effectively share your camp’s story.
