Growing Unshakeable Goodness: From Self to Community
Join your fellow EPIC’s (Emerging Professionals in Camping) to learn together and connect with your peers Tuesday, April 14th from 10am - 12pm. We are excited to welcome Tobin Paap as our facilitator!
Session Description
Before we can appreciate the unshakeable goodness in others, it helps to nurture the unshakeable goodness in ourselves. Throughout the session, which will start with a narrow focus on self, inviting participants to reflect on their relationship with hope and cynicism, with forgiveness and control– the aperture will widen to incorporate campers, staff, and families. We’ll practice how to underreact, accept bids for connection, update our assumptions, and offer grace. Key metaphors for the session include tectonic plates and rewilding. To paraphrase Rilke, this is an opportunity to dive into your increasing depths, where life calmly gives out its own secrets.
