Evaluating Camp Aquatics: Evidence Based Swim Lesson Curriculum Progression
Lindsey Collins, Camp Director, Circle Program
Session participants will learn how to evaluate camp aquatics programming and will learn how to use to data/evidence to evaluate participants in any summer camp program. This session is designed for new camp directors and staff who do not have aquatics or swim lesson programming background. Camp directors and staff will leave with a concrete way to show impact of the swim lesson program.
This session will include information on how to train aquatics staff to track and record data from swim lessons daily in order to maintain records. These evaluation skills will help to gain insight for the future of any camp’s aquatic programming as well as the opportunity to obtain grants and funding.
