The ACA New Director Orientation (NDO) is a course for seasonal or newer camp directors, assistant directors, program directors, and others moving into camp leadership positions. This NDO course be offered in a hybrid model with participants needing to complete online pre-coursework, participate in a two-hour virtual course meeting, and attend the in-person training at Wesley Woods Camp + Retreat Center. 

Participants will be enrolled into the online/asynchronous NDO course and will be contacted by instructors prior to the course to be given instructions on pre-coursework, the virtual meeting, and the in-person meeting.

  • Pre-Course Virtual Meeting: Thursday, November 13 | 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. CT
  • In-Person Training: Tuesday, November 18 | 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. CT

Early registration is encouraged to allow adequate time to complete online-pre-coursework. Registration includes course materials and lunch on November 18, 2025.

Lodging

Affordable lodging is available at Wesley Woods on Tuesday, November 19. To register for lodging you will select this when registering for the Great Rivers Fall Conference. If needing lodging for Tuesday and not staying for the Great Rivers Fall Conference, please reach out to Abbie (aparker@ACAcamps.org).

Additional Information

Use of Images in ACA Publications: Through my registration, I give American Camp Association full rights and permissions with respect to any photographs, video, and audio recordings taken during the ACA event. These images and recordings may be used by ACA, and its agents, in educational and promotional media. 

Cancellations must be in writing and faxed to 765-342-2065 or emailed to events@ACAcamps.org. Phone cancellations are not accepted. The cancellation deadline is 11/4/2025. Cancellations received by 11/4/2025 will be eligible for a refund, minus a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations received less than 2 weeks before the event will not be refunded. If ACA cancels the event, the registration fee paid will be fully refunded.
