Creating a culture of well-being at camp

CampWell is an interactive experiential, multi-day training program that guides participants to identify, understand, cultivate, and create a community of well-being at camp.  The CampWell training program aims to help all be well at camp and seeks to create consistent care across the spectrum of all summer learning spaces. The course will be offered in conjunction with the New England Camp Conference at the nearby YMCA of Downtown Manchester.

Upon completion of the training, participants will have the content and resources necessary to incorporate CampWell into their staff training in 2024.  The course is a collaboration between the Alliance for Camp Health (ACH) and American Camp Association (ACA) and is supported by the H.E. Butt Foundation. Registration information and additional details are below.

CampWell Training in Conjunction with the New England Camp Conference

By registering, you agree to commit to attend the following:

  • Thursday, March 14, 2024: 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm ET, virtual pre-course Zoom session
  • Wednesday, March 20, 2024: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm ET, in-person in Manchester, NH (learning sessions and off-site excursion)
  • Thursday, March 21, 2024: 9:00 am – 3:30 pm, in-person in Manchester, NH (will culminate with participants joining the New England Camp Conference keynote, 1:45 pm– 3:30 pm)

The full CampWell training will include a pre-conference Zoom session, six in-person sessions, an off-site group excursion, and the New England Camp Conference keynote.

Upon completion of the course, participants will have the content and resources necessary to incorporate CampWell into their staff training in 2024.  Participating camps will receive ACH’s MESH Resource Guide and slide deck for use during staff training and a complimentary ACH membership.  This is a $200 value in addition to the course content.

New England Camp Conference registration is separate from CampWell registration, but we encourage all CampWell participants to join us for the entire 2024 New England Camp Conference. If you register for CampWell, please select the xCampWell registration type to receive a 40% discount on your conference registration (if you are the 1st or 2nd person registering from your camp, select that rate. If you are the 3rd or additional person registering for the conference for your camp, select that rate).

Use of Images and Audio by ACA, New England: Through my registration, I give Amercian Camp Association, New England (ACANE) full rights and permissions with respect to any photographs, video, and audio recordings taken during the ACANE event. These images and recordings may be used by ACANE and its agents in any format or medium and for any lawful purpose.

Additional Information

The location of this training is the YMCA of Downtown Manchester, 30 Granite Street, Manchester, NH. The training will also include an off-site excursion that attendees may need to drive or carpool to.

This CampWell training will be limited to 20 camps/40 participants. Camps are encouraged to send 2 participants per camp. Please register first person at the FIRST PERSON rate and then the additional person as SECOND PERSON (now or by March 1, 2024).

2 attendees per camp encouraged and included in the listed rate. Maximum of 2 attendees per camp to allow as many camps as possible to participate.

Registration will include lunch on Wednesday and Thursday.

Registrations are non-refundable, but may be transferred to another participant from your camp/organization.
