Resources and Tools Can be Adapted for Paddling Programs

Sailing programming is incredibly dynamic and beneficial for positive youth development in a camp environment. Providing an equal platform for physical activity, learning, and teamwork, boating can be added to any camp program or improved at your current facility with adequate staff training, curriculum, and safety procedures.

In this session, led by Jen Guimaraes of US Sailing, participants will dive into these three areas. You will learn more about developing boating/paddling-specific emergency action plans, training your staff, and designing effective curriculum to keep campers engaged and having fun!

Additional Information

Resources and tools shared during this session can be adapted for paddling programs (canoe, kayak, stand-up paddleboard).

This session is FREE for ACA members and $20 for non-members. Registration is required. If you can't join live, we will share a recording with registered attendees later in the week.

Registrations are non-refundable, but may be transferred to another participant from your camp/organization.
